Zeiss MyoCare Spectacle Lenses
Eyesight Full of Joy
One of the greatest challenges for medical professionals today is the high prevalence of myopia in children. It is predicted that by 2050, more than 50% of the world's population will have some form of myopia. Already today, in many Asian countries, the share of myopic children under the age of 20 is over 90%. As high myopia begins to develop in children, special attention is paid to proper correction of myopia at this age. The goal at that age is to slow down the progression of myopia.
Standard glasses and contact lenses usually correct myopia - BUT don't address its progression. Progressive myopia requires specialised visual aids to correct distance vision and control the further deterioration of the child's vision.
